Dallas Democrat Eddie Bernice Johnson to Seek Another Term in Congress

Dallas Democratic Eddie Bernice Johnson said Wednesday that she'll seek another term in Congress."This is a difficult time for a change right now," Johnson told The Dallas Morning News. "I'm going to do it. I'm running again."Last year Johnson said that she wanted to retire from Congress when her term ended. But after 2016 election of Republican Donald Trump as president, Johnson said she was urged by her constituents to stay longer."It's forcing us to acknowledge that we're there for a role and we have to continue," Johnson said. "I want to continue to fight for this district. I don't want people hurting or losing jobs."Earlier this summer Johnson's political team told The News that she would run for at least one more term.
