Dallas Council Says Yes to $22M for the Arts, Changing Name of City Performance Hall

With only Philip Kingston saying no, the Dallas City Council voted 14-1 Wednesday to accept the $22 million offered by the Galveston-based Moody Foundation to benefit Dallas arts organizations.The foundation extended the offer in early April, designating $12 million toward paying down the debt of the AT&T Performing Arts Center and $10 million toward small and community arts organizations in Dallas.  Continue reading...
