Dallas Among Three Texas Cities Ranked in Top 10 in Study of Nation's Most Diverse Locales

Dallas is one of three Texas cities to make the top 10 in a study ranking the nation's most diverse cities, coming in at No. 5.Houston was named the nation's most diverse city, while Arlington placed No. 9 in the annual list compiled by personal finance site WalletHub. The study examined not only ethnic diversity but categories such as religious, household, socioeconomic and cultural diversity."America is undergoing an extreme makeover, thanks to rapid demographic diversification," the site reported, predicting that by 2050, non-Hispanic whites will no longer represent a majority of the country's overall population.The study looked at 501 of the largest U.S. cities, compiling scores using 13 metrics in five categories. Dallas' highest ranking was for religious diversity, where it placed No. 43. The Big D also placed 46th in cultural diversity.  Continue reading...
