Crews Battle Blaze at Addison Airport After Plane Crashes Into Hangar

A small plane crash set a hangar at the Addison Airport on fire Sunday morning. Addison fire crews were still working to contain the fire about 11 a.m., after it was first reported at 9:11 a.m.The plane was a twin-engine Beechcraft BE-58 King Air that had just taken off when it crashed, Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Lynn Lunsford said in an email. The aircraft was destroyed by the fire, Lunsford said.Officials did not have information about any occupants of the plane, but said the hangar was not occupied at the time of the crash.
