Family and friends of Wayne, Julie and Heather Trimble gathered Thursday morning in Wise Funeral Home Chapel in Bonham to say goodbye after the three were killed in a five-car crash June 6. According to friends, the service focused on the Trimbles' shared faith, as well as their life together. Wayne and his wife, Julie, both 51, enjoyed raising dairy goats and helping with 4-H, and Heather loved spending time with her friends and relatives. The accident occured on SH121 in Collin County while the family was headed home from a dance recital. A car carrying four teenage girls slowed to make a turn and was struck from behind by a pickup. The car was pushed into southbound traffic, causing the Trimbles' small car to spin out in the left lane and collide with a large utility pickup. Nine people were injured in the crash, and five people died.Two of the girls in the car full of teenagers, Abigail Kendall, 15, and Brianna Gesino, 15, also died at the scene.Wayne and Julie Trimble died at the scene, while Heather, who was 8 months pregnant, and her 4-year-old daughter Matilda were taken to Medical City Plano. Matilda was injured but survived and Heather died over a week later after the doctors delivered her baby, Hadley, early.Updates on the family's Go-Fund Me page say baby Hadley was in stable condition, and recent reports indicate she was able to go home with her father, Heather's fiance, James Gardner.
