Corpus Christi Doctor Accused of Inappropriately Touching Female Patients

A Corpus Christi doctor has been accused of violating the "sexual boundaries" of female patients for eight years. The Texas Medical Board temporarily suspended Jamie Sandoval's medical license without warning during a disciplinary panel Thursday. "Sandoval engaged in a pattern of inappropriate conduct with five female patients in which he violated sexual boundaries through inappropriate touching, actions and comments, which were offensive and of a sexual nature," Texas Medical Board spokesman Jarrett Schneider said. The pattern of inappropriate conduct occurred from about February 2009 to April 2017, according to the panel's findings. His practice with Thomas M. Raymond appears to be closed, The Corpus Christi Caller-Times reports. Police told the local paper that there's no arrest warrant out for Sandoval. A temporary suspension hearing with the medical board will be held as soon as possible, unless Sandoval waives it. The suspension remains in place until further action is taken.  Continue reading...
