Comerica Executive Tapped to Lead High-profile Wells Fargo Division

Comerica Inc. executive Julia C. Wellborn is leaving Dallas for Wells Fargo & Co.’s private wealth management division. Wellborn will oversee two high-profile wealth management divisions: The Private Bank and Abbot Downing. The latter is designed for people with at least $50 million in investable assets. “Bringing these teams under Julia’s leadership will allow them to collaborate more closely and result in the best service and offerings for our clients,” Jonathan Weiss, head of Wells Fargo’s wealth and investment management business, said in a statement. At Comerica, Wellborn managed more than $174 billion in assets. She came on as executive director of wealth management in 2009.
