Collision Between Car, 18-wheeler Spills Fuel in Richardson

Traffic was expected to be tied up into rush hour in Richardson after an 18-wheeler collided with a car and spilled fuel Tuesday night.The crash occurred around 8:30 p.m. in the 4400 block of East Renner Road near MacKenzie Lane, Richardson fire officials said.The driver of the car was treated at the scene and the rig's driver was hospitalized with injuries that were not considered life-threatening, officials said.The truck carried 8,500 gallons of fuel, some of which spilled into the roadway, fire officials said.
