Collin County Will No Longer Drape Inmates With Towels for Mugshots

The Collin County Sheriff's Office is throwing in the towel.For more than 20 years, the county's detention facility has taken mug shots of inmates with a white towel draped around their necks. The idea was that victims making identifications would then focus on faces and not be prejudiced by other factors.But now, as the department noted Friday on its Facebook page, Collin County Sheriff Jim Skinner has decreed that the practice will be discontinued.  Continue reading...
