Child Hit by Car in Far Northeast Dallas Airlifted to Hospital

A child was critically injured by a car Monday morning at an intersection in far northeast Dallas, police say.The child, whose name has not been released, was airlifted to Children's Medical Center Dallas. WFAA-TV (Channel 8) reported the child is 7 years old.The driver, who hit the child about 7 a.m. at Audelia Road and Skillman Street, near Interstate 635, stopped at the scene and was not publicly identified.
