Chamber Music International Concert in Dallas Dedicated to Late Cellist

Philip Lewis walked onto the stage and shared a story with his audience just before Friday's Chamber Music International concert at Dallas City Performance Hall. He spoke about Jungshin Lim Lewis. The two musicians — he a violinist, she a cellist — met while students at the Peabody Conservatory of Music. When he spotted Jungshin, he knew she was the one."Let me tell you, there is such a thing as love at first sight," he said. The two were married nearly 40 years. On Jan. 26, Jungshin died unexpectedly. In her honor, Chamber Music International dedicated its fifth concert of the 2016-17 season. Flowers next to a photo of the smiling Jungshin were in the lobby, and two musicians played a piece by Sergei Prokofiev for her.  Continue reading...
