Can Texans Use Vowels and Symbols on Their License Plates? Curious Texas Investigates

Bruce Bovee of Allen said he likes to play a game when he’s driving. He will look at the license plates that pass him on his commute and try to make words from their letters.“I was looking at a car today that had the letters BTTN, and I was able to come up with the word button,” he said. “ I noticed that Texas plates don’t have vowels, but other states do.
