California Bans State-funded Travel to Texas, Saying New Adoption Law Discriminates Against LGBT Parents

AUSTIN — California is now prohibiting any state-funded or state-sponsored travel to Texas, citing a new law that gives legal cover to religious adoption agencies that turn away prospective parents because they're gay."I am adding four states to the list of states where California-funded or sponsored travel will be restricted on account of the discriminatory nature of laws enacted by those states," California Attorney General Xavier Becerra announced Thursday.
