Business Dispute Leads 75-year-old to Shoot Man Near Carrollton Dog Park, Police Say

A 75-year-old Coppell man has been arrested after a man was shot near a dog park in Carrollton on Friday afternoon.Carrollton police spokeswoman Jolene DeVito said the shooting occurred just after 12:30 p.m. on undeveloped land next to McInnish Dog Park in the 2200 block of Sandy Lake Road.Arthur James Jr., 75, was arrested on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He was being held at the Carrollton City Jail; his bail has not been set.The victim, a 62-year-old Dallas man, was taken to Parkland Memorial Hospital with injuries that weren't life-threatening.DeVito said the shooting appeared to be the result of a business dispute.  Continue reading...
