Burleson Man Charged in Shooting of Neighbor Who Threatened Him, He Tells Police

A Burleson man faces a murder charge after his arrest in a fatal shooting on Monday.Patrick Daniel Murphy, 42, was charged in connection with the death of Albinus Zoerner, 62, a neighbor who visited Murphy at his home in the 600 block Lynnewood Avenue around 3:44 p.m. Monday, police said.According to Burleson police, Murphy told them he shot Zoerner after the neighbor had threatened him. Murphy is in the Johnson County Jail and has cooperated during the investigation, police said.MedStar Mobile Healthcare paramedics and Burleson firefighters performed CPR at the scene, but Zoerner was pronounced dead at 4:51 p.m. after he was taken to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, police said.  Continue reading...
