Burglary Suspect in Standoff After Reportedly Firing at Richardson Officers, Fleeing North on U.S. 75

A standoff is underway in Van Alstyne after a suspected burglar at a Lamborghini dealership in Richardson reportedly fired at officers overnight.The incident began at Lamborghini Dallas in the 600 block of South U.S. Highway 75 in Richardson when the suspect fired at officers about 3:30 a.m. and led them on a chase north on the highway into McKinney, KXAS-TV (NBC5) reports. The suspect stayed barricaded in a vehicle for about two hours. SWAT fired tear gas into the car, which the suspect then drove north into Van Alstyne, KDFW-TV (Channel 4) reports.  Continue reading...
