Bullet Grazes 1 in the Butt After Beer Run in Far East Dallas

A gunman fled after firing a bullet that grazed one person in the butt late Wednesday night at a Far East Dallas apartment complex. Officers responded to a call about an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 1900 block of Barnes Bridge Road, near Garland and Centerville Roads, about 11:15 p.m. The victim said he first saw the suspect earlier when they almost got into a confrontation, Dallas police spokeswoman Melinda Gutierrez said. While he was in the parking lot, the suspect asked him what he was looking at. The victim responded that he wasn't staring at him, he was looking behind him for a friend. The victim told police that he got into his truck and went to the store for beer. When he got back, he saw the suspect again and told him he didn't want any trouble so he was going to leave. The suspect said something and the next thing the victim said he heard was gunfire. The victim felt something hit him on the butt, which left him with a scratch.
