Building Implosion Will Close Roads and Delay DART Trains in Downtown Dallas

Several streets in downtown Dallas will close Saturday morning for the implosion of a 1940s-era office building.Demolition crews will destroy the 11-story building owned by First Baptist Dallas in the 500 block of North Ervay Street.The implosion is scheduled for around 7:30 a.m., but road closures will begin at 6 a.m. as part of a safety zone that includes Pacific Avenue, North Field Street, San Jacinto Street and North St. Paul Street.
