Boone Pickens' Preston Hollow Mansion Sells With $6 Million Price Tag

Oil tycoon T. Boone Pickens has sold his Dallas mansion.The 8,906-square-foot Mediterranean-style estate at 9434 Alva Ct in Preston Hollow has been for sale for almost $6 million.Dallas energy investment firm exec John G. Calvert and his wife purchased the 1-acre property, county deed records show.The house has three bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths with outdoor gardens, fountains and entertaining areas.There are guest quarters above a three-car garage.Built in 1996, the house also has an exercise room, wood paneled library and a walk in closet big enough to park a bus inside.Ryan Streiff at Dave Perry-Miller Realtors sold the property.Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.Last fall when the house hit the market, Pickens said "as an 89-year-old single man, I've just got too much house on my hands."Pickens has already moved to a Turtle Creek high-rise.The iconic oil magnate is also trying to sell his 68,000-acre Mesa Vista Ranch ranch in the Texas Panhandle.
