Booker T. Washington Celebrates 40th Anniversary, Juilliard-bound Dancers, Erykah Badu

It's hard to say whether Erykah Badu or the five student dancers who just got accepted into New York's Juilliard School generated more buzz at Monday night's big celebration at the Winspear Opera House. The occasion was the 40th anniversary of Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, the local institution that produced Badu, Roy Hargrove, Edie Brickell and, of course, those dancers now so beloved on social media.  Continue reading...
