Bicyclist Seriously Injured in Denton Hit and Run

A 52-year-old bicyclist was injured in a hit-and-run early Monday in Denton, police said. The man was riding about 1:40 a.m. in the westbound lane of the 1400 block of East Highway 380 when witnesses said he was struck by a car. The driver left the scene without providing information or rendering aid. The vehicle is described as a silver 2011-2017 Dodge Charger, Dart or Chrysler 200/300 with no passenger-side mirror, police said. The man was conscious when Denton Fire and Rescue responded to the scene. He suffered serious injuries but they are not expected to be life threatening, police said.
