Bernie Sanders Returning to Grand Prairie to Rally Democrats Against Donald Trump

Bernie Sanders, the runner-up in the Democratic contest for president, is returning to North Texas to rally residents against President Donald Trump's agenda.The 75-year-old Vermont senator will be joined at the Verizon Theater in Grand Prairie by Rep. Keith Ellison, D-Minnesota and the deputy chairman of the Democratic National Committee. The event is part of the Democratic National Committee's Come Together and Fight Back tour.Sanders and Ellison are visiting red and purple states to mobilizes Democrats.In Texas, Trump beat Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton by nine percentage points in the presidential election. Lone Star Democrats hope to build on that outcome. In previous election cycles, Democrats lost by 20 percentage points, including Wendy Davis' ill-fated, 2014 race for governor against Greg Abbott.The free event starts at noon and doors open at 10:30.
