Baby Boy Drowned in Fort Worth Bathtub After Mother Fell Asleep, Police Say

A baby boy was killed Monday morning when his mother, who had been bathing him in an east Fort Worth home, fell asleep in the tub.When the woman woke up around 5:45 a.m., her 6-month-old son was underwater and unresponsive, Fort Worth police spokesman Tracy Carter said.First responders rushed the baby from the home in the 2400 block of Shalon Avenue to Cook Children's Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead shortly after 6:30.
