Award Winning Miami Restaurant Headed to Uptown Dallas' New Park District Project

A Florida-based Southern style restaurant change has picked Uptown Dallas' new Park District project for its first location.Yardbird Southern Table & Bar will open a 7,000-square-foot eatery in the 2-tower mixed-use development overlooking Klyde Warren Park at Pearl Street and Woodall Rodgers Freeway.The new restaurant and bar will be located in the retail portion of the project which includes an office tower and high-rise apartments."Dallas is an amazing city, with art, entertainment and a great dining scene," restaurant founder John Kunkel said in a statement. "We are so proud of our brand and the truly sensational dining experience that we offer and can't wait to introduce it into the Dallas market."Yardbird Southern Table & Bar opened in Miami in 2011 and now has locations Las Vegas, Miami Beach, Los Angeles and Singapore.The restaurant is the second dining spot announced for Park District.Last week longtime Uptown restaurant Perry's Steakhouse & Grille said it is moving from McKinney Avenue to a 13,000-square-foot corner location in the project.The high-rise development was built by Trammell Crow Co. and MetLife Investment Management.Park District includes a 20-story office building and a 34-floor apartment tower. Office tenants in the development include PricewaterhouseCoopers and law firms Barnes & Thornburg and Winston & Strawn.Paul Brandes with Charter Realty & Development Corp. and Nathan Wood and Sydney Muller with CBRE negotiated the Yardbird lease.  Continue reading...
