Austin Venture Firm Raises $105 Million to Pump Up Texas Startups

Heads up, startups: Austin-based LiveOak Venture Partners has closed on a new $105 million fund for early stage investments.LiveOak is one of Texas' most active venture capital firms, previously raising a $100 million fund in 2014.The firm was founded by former Austin Ventures investors Krishna Srinivasan, Venu Shamapant and Ben Scott, who met in 2000 and together invested more than $150 million in Texas startups prior to launching LiveOak."Texas is exploding with opportunity," Srinivasan said. "We are continuing to execute on our proven playbook of creating successful companies for close to 20 years in Texas.
