Art, Music and Dance to Be Large Part of Dallas Festival of Ideas and Dallas Book Festival's April 29 Celebration

The Dallas Festival of Ideas, co-located with the Dallas Book Festival, promises to shape the city of the future by "igniting, uniting and energizing the diverse people of Dallas through the power of ideas." It is impossible to do that, of course, without enlisting the creative forces of the city.And that's where the arts come in.Dallas is bullish on Dallas performers, and plenty will be on hand for the day-long festivals, including the Polyphonic Spree, a choral rock band from Dallas, whose roots date back to 2000.The Polyphonic Spree will close out the festivals on the night of April 29, melding its voices with flute, trumpet, trombone, violin, guitars, electronic keyboards and a stable of other instruments.  Continue reading...
