Three men struck out in a robbery attempt at an East Oak Cliff 7-Eleven early Monday, but they shot the store clerk's friend in the process, police said.Witnesses told police that the suspects, carrying long guns, walked into the store in the 2900 block of East Ledbetter Drive just before 3:45 a.m. They didn't succeed, but they shot the store clerk's friend in the leg.
