Let's get real about the language we use when discussing the group of armed and angry citizens who showed up Saturday at a Richardson mosque. These folks weren't protesting Shariah, as these demonstrations are often billed. They were there to protest Islam, pure and simple. Which is their right. The same Constitution that makes it wholly American to follow any faith you choose makes it perfectly legal for your neighbors to gather en masse to protest, praise or palaver about nearly anything under the sun, even if all they have to say is how much they fear and despise your religion.
