Arlington Police Discover 347 Grams of Meth During Traffic Stop

Arlington police reported making a major drug bust during a routine traffic stop this week. Around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, officers pulled over a vehicle in a convenience store's parking lot on the 2100 block of Avenue J. A passenger began to run away, dropping items in the process. After a short pursuit, police apprehended the passenger and driver. Officers recovered the dropped items and conducted a search of the vehicle, where they discovered 347 grams of methamphetamine along with cocaine, heroin and marijuana.The driver and passenger, whose names were not released, were booked into the Tarrant County jail on charges of drug possession and evading arrest.  Continue reading...
