Arlington Man Who Asked Mom to Set Him Up With 11-year-old Daughter Pleads Guilty

An Arlington man admitted Wednesday to messaging a detective posing as the mother of an 11-year-old girl and arranging to meet the child for sex.Keith Berkebile, 65, pleaded guilty to one federal charge of enticement of a minor. He was originally charged in Dallas County with one count of online solicitation of a minor and one count of possession of child pornography in 2017.According to federal court documents, the detective joined chat rooms named "pedomoms" and "dad&daughtersex" and was messaged a photo of Berkebile, along with his email address.Berkebile asked if the detective would "like to see your oldest with a man" after determining that the child in question was just 11 years old, and suggested the detective show the child pornographic videos then ask if she would like to replicate the sex acts, according to the criminal complaint.The account connected to Berkebile also sent the detective two child pornography images depicting prepubescent girls, and agreed to meet at the detective's Grand Prairie apartment pool to swim and "be alone with" the child, the detective said.When detectives arrested Berkebile at the apartment he reportedly told detectives he'd agreed to have sex with a woman's daughter, but changed his mind.
