Arlington Man Pleads Guilty to Raping, Kidnapping UTA Student at Gunpoint

An Arlington man has pleaded guilty to raping and kidnapping a University of Texas at Arlington student at gunpoint in June 2018.Joel Engobo Mambe, 21, was arrested June 21, a day after police say he kidnapped a UT-Arlington student from her apartment parking lot, forcing her to drive him to an ATM before he sexually assaulted her.He has remained in the Tarrant County Jail his arrest on charges of aggravated kidnapping, aggravated robbery and aggravated sexual assault.
