Arlington Man Killed During Fight After Kicking Over Water Bottle, Police Say

An Arlington man was killed late Thursday over what police say appeared to be a dispute over a kicked-over water bottle.Officers were called to a reported disturbance just before 11 p.m. in the 1700 block of West Randol Mill Road, near North Fielder Road, where they found an unresponsive man who appeared to have a stab wound in an apartment-complex parking lot.The man, identified as 25-year-old Drew Jones, was taken to Medical City Arlington Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The Tarrant County medical examiner's office has not yet ruled on his cause of death.Police said Jones kicked over a water bottle and then got into a physical altercation with another man.Police have a person of interest in the case who they planned to interview Friday, and they are continuing to investigate and collect evidence — including possible video footage of the incident.  Continue reading...
