Arizona Developer Opens Grand Prairie Rental Home Community

An Arizona-based developer of rental home communities has opened its third North Texas project in Grand PrairieNexMetro Communities already has locations in McKinney and Plano.Its new Avilla Heritage in Grand Prairie is at 2030 S. Forum Drive.The new rental community has detached one, two and three-bedroom homes plus a community center with pool."As the DFW-area continues to grow at a rapid pace, we consistently see the need for a more desirable alternative to the typical rental experience, Ryan Griffis, vice president of operations for NexMetro's Dallas Metro Division, said in a statement."Consumers are looking at home ownership differently since the crash of 2008 and we're excited about the opportunity to provide a unique experience within an industry that is often very cookie cutter."The homes start at $1,300 a month and have 10-foot ceilings, granite and quartz countertops and stainless steel appliances. There are also optional garages and electric car charging stations.Based in Phoenix, NexMetro is working on additional projects in Fort Worth, Arlington and Celina.The company is one of the largest single-family home rental developers in the country with more than $1 billion in assets.
