AUSTIN — A federal appeals court in New Orleans will consider Tuesday whether to reinstate a block on Texas' sanctuary cities ban that a federal district judge imposed in late August.In September, a three-judge panel from the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals allowed parts of the law to go into effect after Attorney General Ken Paxton filed an emergency request with the court.
