Are North Texas Primary Winners the Right Republicans to Govern the Lone Star State?

Tuesday's primary results indicate that the sturdy conservative North Texas delegation to the state Legislature may well take a step further right.Two caveats before we say more: The GOP state House and Senate winners still face opponents in the fall. Plus, the newcomers on the list haven't cast a single vote, so perhaps we'll be pleasantly surprised.But chances are good that our Republican representation in Austin will tip more toward policies that please a specific conservative-scorecard-toting constituency, even when those votes are not in the best interest of Texas.
