‘An Honor to Be Back'; Frisco School Board OKs Contract for Next Superintendent

FRISCO -- Frisco ISD's new superintendent is no stranger to the fastest-growing school district in Texas. Mike Waldrip spent 12 years here before leaving in 2014 to become superintendent for Coppell ISD. On Monday, Frisco ISD's board of trustees unanimously approved a contract to bring him back in the district's top job. The vote culminates a two-month search that drew applicants from across the country. Waldrip will become superintendent of what will soon be the third largest school district in North Texas behind Dallas and Fort Worth ISDs.
