Allstate Insurance Co. will create 1,300 new jobs in a substantial expansion of its Irving operations.Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, who announced the expansion Tuesday, said the company will receive a $2.6 million grant from Texas Enterprise Fund, the state's so-called deal-closing fund, to assist in the expansion. Allstate will invest $11 million in the project."Allstate is one of the largest and most recognizable insurance providers in the nation, and I am grateful for its continued investment in the Lone Star State," Abbott said in a statement.
