ABC's Black-ish Star Tracee Ellis Ross Designs a Holiday Collection for J.C. Penney

Golden Globe award winner and star of ABC's Black-ish Tracee Ellis Ross has collaborated with J.C. Penney to create a limited-edition collection, the Plano-based retailer said Tuesday.The women's apparel, accessories and home décor items will be in stores Nov. 12, in time for holiday shopping.Designing a line of clothing has been "my lifelong dream," Ellis Ross said in a press release. And she called Penney "a wonderful partner" because she said she could make an affordable collection. "I truly believe looking good does not have to cost a lot."Penney is promoting its new Rewards program with the collection, saying members will be the first to know when pink and gold sequin dresses from Ellis Ross are available for purchase online in advance of stores.It's also using the line to advance another one of its key strategies by making the clothing for its plus-size customers with sizes to 3X.Twitter: @MariaHalkias  Continue reading...
