A Shameful Slap on the Wrist for Cop Who Wrongfully Shot Mentally Ill Man

Bobby Gerald Bennett may not strike you as an especially lucky guy. He struggles with serious mental illness. He's currently in prison, having violated parole on a years-old theft conviction. Four years ago, he was shot in the gut, and needed repeat surgeries to remove a chunk of his colon and get the bullet out. He still suffers from severe diarrhea every time he eats.
