Flight attendants step up their safety roleAmerican Airlines is taking passenger protection to the next level. The Fort Worth airline giant has started a program called Airline Ambassadors to teach flight attendants how to spot human trafficking, such as passengers who appear ashamed, disheveled and if as though they're traveling with an adult that doesn't seem like a parent or relative. Last year U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement alone identified 400 human trafficking victims, so this is no small problem. Airline Ambassadors even took the cause to Congress, pushing them to implement required trafficking training on all airlines, leading to the passing of the Safety and Security Act of 2016.   Continue reading...
