A Cold Night Ahead

The storms and associated threat for severe weather is quickly moving into eastern parts of Texas. A clearing sky, a strong north wind, and a drop in temperatures is what we can expect for the rest of the evening and overnight hours tonight. By first thing Wednesday morning, temperatures around DFW will be down near 40° with outlying areas in the middle to upper 30s. A north wind blowing at 10 to 15 mph will pull wind chill values down into the upper 20s to middle 30s to start the day. Make sure you have a coat with you as you head out the door Wednesday morning ... and make sure the kids are dressed appropriately for the trip to school! The wind will continue to subside on Wednesday. With sunshine, temperatures will rebound in the middle 60s. Breezy and warmer weather returns to the area on Thursday with highs in the middle 60s. Our next chance for storms will come late in the day on Friday as the next cold front moves into North Texas. TONIGHT: Mostly clear, breezy, and colder. Low: 40. Wind: N 10-20 mph.
