72-year-old Man Killed in Hit-and-run on Park Lane in Vickery Meadow

Police are investigating a hit-and-run that killed a 72-year-old man crossing the street Monday evening in Vickery Meadow. The victim was walking across Park Lane at Hemlock Avenue about 8 p.m. Monday when he was struck by a sedan. He was not using a crosswalk, Dallas police said. The victim died at the scene while the driver fled, police said. A detailed description of the suspect vehicle was not released.The dead man's name has not been released pending notification of his family.
