A motorist in an SUV hit a 5-year-old girl riding her scooter in an east Fort Worth neighborhood last week and then drove off, police say.Caroline Muckleroy was in the 9000 block of Riverfalls Drive, near Precinct Line Road, around 6 p.m. Friday when a vehicle believed to be a 2009 Toyota 4-Runner struck her.Her father, Chris Muckleroy, said it was a moment of "sheer panic.""She was lying basically lifeless in the street," he told KXAS-TV (NBC5). "She did start moaning and screaming from pain pretty quickly."Caroline was taken to Cook Children's Medical Center with a broken leg and a ruptured spleen, as well as a minor head injury.
