A mother has pleaded guilty to the brutal beating death of her 4-year-old daughter months after social workers had been warned the child was in danger. Jeri Quezada, 31, pleaded guilty Wednesday to felony injury to a child. She could face up to life in prison. Quezada and her boyfriend, 35-year-old Charles Phifer, were both accused of beating Leiliana Wright with a belt and a bamboo stick on March 12, 2016. Phifer has also been charged with felony injury to a child.
