A 39-year-old man whose accomplice talked himself into a Southlake home by claiming he was searching for his missing dog and then held the family at gunpoint was sentenced to 47 years in prison Wednesday by a Tarrant County jury. Timothy Scott Scoggins of Fort Worth was found guilty of burglary of a habitation with the intent to commit a felony for holding members of a family at gunpoint, wearing a mask and gloves while ransacking the house for jewelry and other valuables.
