3 Men Charged With Capital Murder in 2018 Home Invasion Robbery in Oak Cliff

Three men have been charged with murder in a deadly home invasion robbery last June in southeast Oak Cliff.Four masked men forced Jimmy Giddings and his wife, Nikita Dickerson, into their home, robbed them and fatally shot Giddings on June 24, police say. Dickerson also was shot but survived. Authorities have arrested four men in connection with the slaying, but only three have been charged, Dallas police said Thursday. Milton Leroy Prentice III, 25, and Bryan Dominik Groom, 21, were booked into the Tuscaloosa County jail in March. Both have been charged with capital murder. Groom has also been charged with robbery and attempted murder and Prentice has two charges related to possession of a controlled substance.On Wednesday morning, Kiante Bernard Watkins, 24, of Tuscaloosa, Ala., was booked into the Dallas County jail on a capital murder charge. His bail has been set at $500,000. A fourth man, whose identity has not been released, is in federal custody and has not been charged, police said.  Continue reading...
