3 Dead in Apparent Murder-suicide East of Dallas County, Authorities Say

Two people escaped an apparent murder-suicide that left three dead at a house east of Dallas County Monday evening, authorities said.Deputies responded to the shooting about 5 p.m. off FM314 south of Van, about 75 miles east of Dallas, the Van Zandt County Sheriff's Office said. The victims have not yet been identified, but everyone involved is believed to be part of the same family, Van Zandt County Investigator Jake Smith told KLTV.The suspect appears to be a man who fatally shot two women before turning the gun on himself, KLTV reports.
