3 Arrested in Death of Woman Who OD'd on Heroin in Bathroom at Farmers Branch McDonald's

Three men have been arrested in the death of a woman who overdosed of heroin in the bathroom of a McDonald's in Farmers Branch last year. The woman was found dead about 9:45 p.m. June 8, 2016, in the bathroom of the fast-food restaurant on Valley View Lane in Farmers Branch, according to the affidavit filed with the criminal complaint.The victim, who was described as a "young woman," was not identified. Her cause of death was determined to be a result of the toxic effects of heroin and ethanol, officials said. Rogelio Bernal, 20, of Dallas, and Zakariah Michael Wolf, 29, of Greenville, have been charged in a criminal complaint with conspiracy to distribute heroin in November 2016. Bernal has a separate charge of conspiracy to distribute heroin in June 2016, the office of U.S. Attorney John Parker of the Northern District of Texas announced Tuesday. According to the affidavit, Bernal was the source of the heroin supply in the Farmers Branch area since at least April 2016. Bernal gave heroin to Nancy Pineda, who was charged last year in connection with the young woman's death.
