Two deputies have been injured in a daylong standoff with a man barricaded in a San Antonio house full of propane tanks.The standoff began around 7 p.m. Tuesday, the Bexar County Sheriff's Office said, when deputies went to the northwest San Antonio home to perform a welfare check on a woman in her 80s and serve a mental-health warrant on a man in his 60s. Their names have not been released.They were met with gunfire when they entered the house, Sheriff Javier Salazar said at a news conference, but were protected by a tactical shield and retreated.Negotiators were able to make contact with the man for only a short time, Salazar said, and he then came out of the house to fire at deputies.
