2 Plead Guilty to Involvement in Fort Worth Sex Trafficking Ring Using Backpage.com

Two men face up to life in prison after pleading guilty this month to trafficking charges in connection with a human trafficking ring operating in Fort Worth and Northlake, federal officials say. Joshua Glaze, 30, pleaded guilty Wednesday to conspiring to commit sex trafficking through force, fraud or coercion. Faizal Sabar, 34, pleaded guilty to the same charge May 13, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office of the Northern District of Texas.Glaze and Sabar said they conspired to advertise their victims for sex on Backpage.com, a Dallas-based website that was shut down in early 2018 for allowing ads for "illicit commercial sex," Attorney General Jeff Sessions said at the time."Trafficking — people selling other people — is a particularly vile crime," U.S. Attorney Erin Nealy Cox said in a written statement.
